Grimsby man charged with three counts of child pornography

A Grimsby man was charged with three separate counts of child pornography after his arrest today (September 15).

Niagara Police revealed they have been tracking the suspect since April with their Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

Arrested was Tyler Lemaich, 32, of Grimsby, who was charged with two counts of making child pornography and one count of possessing it.

He was held in custody today waiting for a bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.

The Niagara Regional Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet and conducts investigations into Internet Child Exploitation Offences in partnership with numerous Ontario Police Services. This investigative initiative has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
