Grimsby child porn investigation and charges sees FBI involved in case

In October, Niagara Police investigating a potential child pornography case in Grimsby found themselves working jointly with the Seattle branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

After the team effort, Niagara Police raided a Grimsby home this morning (November 1) and charged a man with multiple counts all connected to child pornography.

Jason Robert King, 31, of Grimsby was charged with unlawfully make child pornography available, two counts of  unlawfully possessing child pornography, unlawfully making child pornography, false identity to avoid arrest, public mischief, two counts of failing to comply with prohibition regarding children and failure to comply with probation

He was been held in custody pending a bail hearing for November 1 via video link a the courthouse in St. Catharines.

The Niagara Regional Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet and conducts investigations into Internet Child Exploitation Offences in partnership with Ontario Police Services and International Partners.
