Great Canadian Entertainment opens 275-room hotel at Pickering Casino Resort

A 275-room hotel at the Pickering Casino Resort is now open.
The hotel is located within the Pickering Casino Resort, a $500M entertainment destination which features a 96,000 sq. ft. casino, Great Canadian Sportsbook, four dining options (another five – from quick serve and fast casual to fine dining – are expected to open this winter), a 2,500-seat theatre and event and meeting space.
The hotel’s guest rooms range from 388 sq ft to 775 sq ft, including 33 suites with separate living space and 22 accessible rooms, most with city or lake views.
“We are committed to offering the very best in entertainment to destinations across Canada and continually heightening the experience for our guests while investing in the communities in which we operate,” said Matthew Anfinson, Chief Executive Officer of Great Canadian Entertainment.
The casino opened in the summer of 2021, creating more than a thousand jobs and providing “significant economic benefit” for Pickering and Durham Region, he added.
The casino floor is equipped with 2,200 slot machines, more than 90 ‘live’ table games and approximately 140 ‘live dealer’ stadium gaming terminals.
