Niagara Grape & Wine Festival Grande Parade
The downtown core of St. Catharines will be jammed this Saturday (Sept. 23) for the return of the annual Niagara Grape & Wine Festival Grande Parade, starting at 11 a.m.

It might be tough finding a parking spot in downtown St. Catharines this Saturday (Sept. 23) but it’ll be worth it as the most family-friendly event of the entire Niagara Grape & Wine Festival will be filling the streets – the annual Grande Parade.

After a hugely successful opening at Montebello Park from Sept. 15 to 17, wind-up weekend is coming on Sept. 23 and 24.

That means the annual parade, which kicks off at 11 a.m. drawing hundreds of participants and even more spectators lining the sidewalks, is a huge hit for young and old alike with marching bands, cheerleaders, floats, and even go-karts zipping around.

After the parade fun, adults will want to get ready for the Caribbean-themed Niagara Grape & Wine Festival Parade After-Party, running at 201 St. Paul St. from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

All of this is on top of the usual events at Montebello Park, the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival home base.

Established in 1951, the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is the oldest and largest celebration of its kind in Canada. What began as a local harvest festival has now evolved into a year-round extravaganza of Grape & Wine delights, featuring flagship events in January, June, and September.
