A pair of GO buses will be in Brampton on Thursday to provide Pfizer vaccines on a walk-up basis.

The GO-VAXX vehicles have been specially retrofitted to dole out up to 200 COVID-19 shots per day.

They will be at Brampton Shopper’s World Gateway Terminal from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12,

Each bus has the capacity to deliver up to 200 doses per day. The mobile clinics are fully accessible and will be administering the Pfizer vaccine.

“We are excited and pleased to help plan and deliver this innovative approach linking vaccination and transit together,” said Phil Verster, president and CEO, Metrolinx.

“Metrolinx has supported on-site clinics for our staff and the public, and the GO-VAXX bus is another great next step to make it even more convenient for people to get protected.”

All COVID-19 safety precautions will be followed on board, including the required pre-vaccination screening and post-vaccination monitoring.

Each bus can safely hold eight people at a time and no appointments are necessary. Anyone aged 12 and over can get their first or second dose while supplies last. Please bring ID and wear a loose-fitting top so the upper arm is easily accessible.
