With new waves of COVID-19 still on the horizon, it’s not too late for Halton Hills residents to get their vaccines and boosters.
With that in mind, the GO-VAXX mobile vaccine bus will be offering COVID-19 vaccines and booster doses at Prospect Park in Acton on Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The GO-VAXX bus is a fully-functioning vaccine clinic with the necessary supplies and trained staff to provide assistance to people and ensure vaccines are administered safely.
All COVID-19 safety precautions will be followed on board, including the required pre-vaccination screening and post-vaccination monitoring.
Accessible options are available at all GO-VAXX bus clinics.
When heading to your appointment remember to:
- bring your health card, if you do not have a health card or if it’s expired, bring another form of government-issued photo identification such as a driver’s licence, passport, status card or birth certificate
- eat and drink something before you arrive at your appointment to prevent feeling faint or dizzy while being vaccinated
- dress for the weather in case there is a line-up
- wear clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm, such as a loose-fitting top or a t-shirt
- bring a mask as you may be required to wear one
Do not visit the GO-VAXX bus if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
To book an appointment, visit the provincial government’s vaccination portal or call 1-833-943-3900.
