GO Transit offers free ride for Canadian military on November 11

Members of the Canadian Armed Forces and a friend will get a free ride on all GO Transit services on Remembrance Day.

Those veterans and service members are asked to identify themselves by wearing or carrying their medals, beret, blazer, uniform or other similar belongings while traveling.

Immediate family members of deceased veterans may also ride for free on Remembrance Day if carrying something to identify their relationship to the late veteran, such as service papers or an identification card.

If you plan to use our service this Remembrance Day, help keep each other safe along the way. Be sure to wear your face covering properly so that it covers your nose, mouth and chin while in stations, on platforms and for your entire trip.
