Changes to GO train service and schedules will impact commuters in Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton throughout the upcoming weekend.

Officials with Metrolinx, the provincial agency that runs GO Transit, say Lakeshore West rail service will be modified as follows from Friday at 10 p.m. until the end of the day on Sunday:

  • Lakeshore West train service will run on an hourly schedule only between West Harbour (Hamilton) and Oakville GO stations
  • customers at Oakville GO, Clarkson GO and Union Station (Toronto) will be serviced by GO buses only
  • there will be no GO bus or train service provided to customers at Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico and Exhibition stations. Customers at those locations are encouraged to use MiWay (Route 23 will connect riders to GO replacement bus at Clarkson GO) or the TTC this weekend

Officials say regular service will resume on Monday.
