Niagara Falls two casinos – Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort – will be holding a job fair this week in an most unexpected place.
When you think the atmosphere in a casino, you likely think: loud, boisterous, raucous and if the dice are rolling just right at the crap table, just tons of hooting and hollaring.
What’s the opposite of that? It would pretty much have to be a library.
That’s exactly the case on November 17 from 9 am to 1 pm as the Niagara Falls Public Library branch at 4848 Victoria Ave. will be holding a “Transition to Employment” job fair for both casinos.
“The casinos have open positions in support positions, administration positions, skilled trades and more,” posted the library on their Twitter.
A quick look at the joint job board the two casinos share shows these positions open at the moment: Event Security Associate, plumber, carpenter, Food and Beverage Events Associate, Refrigeration Mechanic, Direct Mail Associate, Systems engineer, electrician, operations accountant, sous chef, millwright and security officer.
