Ontario’s Ghost Towns will be the focus of the Local History Speaker Stories event tonight at the McLaughlin branch of the Oshawa Public Library with noted historian Ron Brown.

Brown, a favourite speaker for the series, will look at some our Ghost Towns; vestiges of once-thriving towns and villages. While some still maintain small resident populations, others exist only as abandoned buildings and foundation ruins. They all are ‘ghosts’ of their former greatness and their images evoke their lost legacies.

Tuesday’s Local History Speaker Series talk will start at 6 p.m. in the lower level auditorium at 65 Bagot Street, adjacent to Oshawa City Hall. Due to anticipated high attendance, RSVP is required at https://oshlib.bibliocommons.com/events/64dba0e05919183600080153

The Speaker Series is presented in partnership between the Oshawa Historical Society and the Oshawa Public Libraries.
