Get married in a hurry at new downtown Farmers’ Market in Brampton

The Farmer’s Market may have a new location but a much-loved attraction is back with the return of quicky wedding ceremonies this year.
The Brampton Farmer’s Market runs on Saturdays rain or shine until Oct. 12, and has moved from Gage Park to a stretch of Main Street South and Ken Whillans Square.
Civil marriage ceremonies have been a part of the Brampton Farmer’s Market since 2022 and this year’s market will have three days for couples to tie the knot.
You and your partner can exchange vows and get officially married in Ken Whillans Square with the backdrop of the market on July 27, Aug. 24 and Sept. 21.
“Enhanced by the vibrance of downtown Brampton, getting married on the steps of City Hall is an unforgettable start to a new life together,” the city said in a release.
Couples will still need a marriage licence and need to register with the city, but the civil ceremonies offer a unique wedding experience that won’t break the bank compared to an extravagant celebration. The ceremonies cost $250 and does not include the cost of the licence.
Applications to get married at the 2024 Brampton Farmers’ Marker must be made in person at city hall.
Marriage licence appointments can be made using the City of Brampton’s online portal or by visiting City Hall in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.
