The 30th anniversary of the Georgetown Farmers’ Market kicks off Saturday, June 3.

Held since 1993, the Georgetown Farmers’ Market supports local farmers, artisans and craftsmen in selling their produce and products.

“There is an abundance of fresh, local and sustainable produce that home chefs and the kitchen extraordinaire can delight in discovering and bringing home to share with family and friends,” said a spokesperson.

In addition to produce, there will be freshly-baked product of local bakeries, including vegan and gluten-free options, the finest cured meats and selections of cheese, ready-to eat pies, breakfast sandwiches and more!

Treat yourself to a beautiful bouquet of flowers or a hand-crafted houseware item, wander through neighbouring businesses and find out why it is great to shop local, and listen to the many talented, local artists who entertain visitors on market day.

The market runs along Main St. S., in downtown Georgetown, from James St. to Church St., as well as in the parking lot at the corner of Main and Church.

There is free parking on the streets adjacent the market and in the municipal lots near the market. Bicycle racks are available in the parking lot at the corner of Church St and Main St South.

The markets runs Saturdays until mid-October from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
