The Downtown Georgetown Farmers’ Market is making its official comeback this weekend.

The market will celebrate its opening day on June 4 and will run every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until Oct. 15.

The Georgetown Farmers’ Market, which was established in 1993, is hosted by the Downtown Georgetown Business Improvement Area (BIA) and showcases Ontario produce as well as locally crafted goods.

For almost 30 years, it has supported local farmers, artisans and craftsmen in selling their produce and products.

Items that residents can expect to find at the market include local seasonal fruit and vegetables, honey, syrup and jams, deli meat items, hand-made botanical soaps and lotions, artisans, flowers and plants.

The market also features talented crafters each week as well as local community groups.

Residents are reminded that friendly family pets are welcome, but must be leashed and kept back from the food and vendors.
