Gas station, hotel altercations lead to charges against Ajax man, Oshawa woman after pistol seized

A employee at Whitby's Holiday Iinn on Consumers Dr. was assaulted and threatened following threats uttered in an Oshawa gas station.

Threats in an Oshawa gas station and an altercation in a Whitby hotel has led to charges against a man from Ajax and a woman from Oshawa after the man allegedly threatened to shoot employees.

A man allegedly threatened to shoot the store clerk of the Petrol Gas Station on Simcoe St N around 2:30 a.m. April 3. He then ran from the scene with a woman in tow. The police were contacted on an unwanted person call shortly thereafter.

Officers were then called to Whitby for a disturbance at the Consumers Dr Holiday Inn in Whitby. A man had allegedly assaulted an employee and threatened to shoot them. He and a woman the fled the inn.

Police found two suspect at the Whitby Motel 6, also on Consumers Dr, a short time later. The two were arrested without incident. Investigators say they found a loaded pistol on the man during a search.

Adil Hosannah, 30 from Ajax faces 13 criminal charges including: unlicensed possession of weapon, firearm possession while knowingly unlicensed, possession of a loaded firearm, four counts of possession contrary to order, assault, assault with a weapon, three counts of uttering threats, and Mischief Under $5000.

Tishante Johnson Whittaker, 29 of Oshawa, is charged with: unlicensed possession of a weapon, firearm possession while knowingly unlicensed and possession of a loaded firearm.
