Gas prices up again this weekend in Oakville, Burlington, Milton

The price of gas went up four cents a litre on Thursday, but Oakville, Burlington and Milton drivers will be reaching even deeper into their pockets at the gas pump on Friday (Apr. 29).

Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy and a gas price analyst, expects the cost of gas to rise another four cents a litre tomorrow in Halton Region and across most of the province.

Drivers in Halton will find themselves having to pay $1.86.9 a litre when they arrive at local gas stations. Premium prices are also up four cents a litre to $2.17.9, while diesel costs five cents a litre more and is now at $2.26.9.

While the highest price hike in the country will come in Edmonton with drivers forking over another nine cents a litre, in Ontario the biggest raise in cost comes in Peterborough where it’s up six cents to $1.84.9.

Cornwall residents avoid the price hike as the cost of fuel remains the same at $1.71.9, which is the cheapest in the province.
