If you can hold off filling up your vehicle a day, a trip to the gas pumps on Thursday will save Mississauga, Hamilton, Brampton and Oakville drivers some money.

Dan McTeague, gas analyst and president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, says that gas prices are set to fall five cents a litre to 162.9 for most of the southern part of the province.

This comes after gas prices had risen a fair bit in the last week or so.

The price savings pails in comparison to Vancouver, where the cost per litre will drop 35 cents. Still, even after the fall, the British Columbia city remains among the most expensive locations to fill your car as it still costs 192.9 per litre.

Peterborough and Oshawa remain the cheapest places to fill up in the province. Peterborough prices will drop two cents to 154.9 per litre, while Oshawa gas prices will sink five cents to 160.9 per litre.

Here are the cheapest prices Wednesday in Brampton, Hamilton, Mississauga and Oakville:

BRAMPTON

163.6 cents per litre at Circle K (10187 Kennedy Rd. N.)

HAMILTON

147.9 cents per litre at Sit-N-Bull (3783 Sixth Line)

MISSISSAUGA

159.8 cents per litre at Petro-Canada (3686-3990 Eglinton Ave. W.)
