What goes down, comes right back up when it comes to gas prices in Oakville.

Local drivers will have to reach deeper into their pockets to fill their cars on Friday (March 25) as prices at the fuel pump are set to rise by three cents a litre.

This comes after prices had dropped two cents on Thursday.

The price of regular gas will climb to 176.9 tomorrow. Premium will set drivers back 209.9 a litre, while diesel will be 208.9 at the pump.

The biggest price hikes in the province to fill your tank will be in Cornwall, where it’s set to rise by eight cents to 172.9 a litre, and Peterborough, where it is going up by five cents to 172.9.

Despite the price hikes, both Cornwall and Peterborough are still the cheapest cities to fill up the tank.
