Those who are planning to fill up their tanks might want to wait until Sunday.
Prices went up 3 cents today (Saturday), but it’s expected to go down tomorrow.
It is expected to go down 5 cents on Sunday to make the average price of gas to 149.9 cents per litre and lower in the outskirts of the GTA — among the lowest prices of 2022.
Some gas stations in the Peel region have it down to $143.5.
Prices have been declining steadily since August, in part due to the falling price of crude oil and also because of lower U.S. refining margins.
Earlier in September, the October U.S. crude contract was trading at US$86.61 per barrel, its lowest level since late January.
For drivers who need to fuel up today (Sept. 24), here’s where to find the cheapest gas according to GasBuddy:
Ultramar in Mississauga (5979 Shawson Dr)
143.9¢
Ultramar in Brampton (2956 Queen St E)
143.5¢
