If you have to fill up your vehicle this morning, you are in luck – especially if you are near Bowmanville, where one station is currently selling fuel more than 13 cents cheaper than their nearest competitor, according to GasBuddy.

Gas prices have seen major increases throughout the last couple of weeks, especially last week when it went up close to 20 cents in the GTA, but prices fell six cents a litre overnight.

This weekend saw a drop of five cents, and with this drop of another six cents, the average price of gas is 1.70 cents per litre for most of the GTA and southern Ontario, including the communities of Durham Region.

It comes after gas prices rose for multiple days up to 180.9 cents per litre on Saturday — a 20-cent hike in just four days.

Prices are expected to go up in the coming weeks and months and are expected to be around $2 again by January.
