Gas prices could rise by five cent a litre overnight

If you wake up in the morning on May 25 and notice it costs more to fill your tank, that’s because gas prices were set to hike at midnight.

Dan McTeague of Canadians for Affordable Energy says prices will rise five cents a litre at midnight, to an average of $1.63 in Ontario.

In Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton, Durham and Niagara, average prices currently hover $1.54/litre to $1.57/litres.
