Another increase in gas prices is set to hit the Toronto area.
The price for a regular litre is set to jump five cents to $1.829 in the Greater Toronto Area on Wednesday, according to fuel price prediction website gaswizard.ca.
Dan McTeague of gaswizard.ca said that’s the most expensive gas has been in the GTA since July 2022.
Premium will also see a five-cent increase, to $2.129 per litre.
There will be some relief for diesel, however, with a five-cent drop to $2.299 per litre.
One week prior, on March 25, the price for a regular litre sat at $1.659 in the GTA following a 13-cent drop from the previous day, according to gaswizard.
It has increased multiple times since then and Wednesday’s price of $1.829 will mark a 17-cent increase from March 25.
On March 2, it cost $1.379 for a regular litre in the GTA, 45 cents cheaper than Wednesday’s predicted price.
The recent overall spike and relatively large fluctuations in fuel prices come amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
