Hamilton and Winnipeg will go head-to-head this weekend in the 108th Grey Cup at Tim Hortons Field. But while the Tiger-Cats and Blue Bombers compete for the 112-year-old trophy, the cities’ respective chambers of commerce will be competing for their food charities.

If the Ticats end the CFL’s longest-standing championship drought at home this weekend, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce CEO Loren Remillard will donate $500 to Harvest Manitoba. If the Bombers do what they did in the 2019 Grey Cup and beat the Ticats, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Keanin Loomis will donate $500 to Food4Kids Hamilton.

Kickoff at the sold-out Tim Hortons Field game is scheduled for 6 p.m. The Arkells and The Lumineers will perform during halftime.
