G2 driver faces 5 criminal charges after being pulled over in Halton Hills

Police stopped a G2 driver and charged him with five separate offences this afternoon (Aug 20) after a concerned citizen reported the vehicle.
The car was initially reported for loud muffler noise but incriminated themselves further by speeding.
Halton Regional Police were in the process of searching for the vehicle when it was seen accelerating at a high rate of speed in a posted 70 km/h zone.
The G37 S Infiniti vehicle reached 191 km, exceeding the posted speed limit by more than 120 km.
The G2 driver received an immediate 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment as well as an additional three charges related to muffler modifications.
Police say a court date has also been issued for the driver.
