Future of Halton Hills development along Steeles Ave. being discussed at public meeting

A public meeting to discuss the future of a strip of land in the southeast corner of Halton Hills is being held Wednesday, Mar. 22.
The Premier Gateway Phase 2B area is 257 hectares that runs along the north side of Steeles Ave., between Eighth Line and Winston Churchill Blvd.
The area is planned to accommodate employment growth to the year 2031. The purpose of the project is to develop a comprehensive Secondary Plan with appropriate land use designations and policies.
A series of technical studies will be prepared to better understand the opportunities and constraints to development.
The public meeting will offer a virtual presentation on the draft Preferred Concept Plan and supportive technical evaluation, urban design guidelines and the policy directions that will guide development in the area.
The presentation will be followed by a workshop to gather valuable input to help refine the draft Secondary Plan land use policies.
