‘Fusion of flavours’ key to new Oakville Mediterranean eatery

A popular London, On. Middle Eastern restaurant has set up shop in Oakville.
Tahini’s Mediterranean Cuisine celebrated its Grand Opening on Sunday June 5 at its new location at 300 North Service Rd. W, Unit B3A in Oakville.
The award-winning restaurant, which opened its first store in London, says it offers a combination of both delicious, authentic & healthy Middle Eastern foods with fast, friendly and reliable customer service.
Tahini’s says it’s food combinations are what we really separates it from other Mediterranean cuisines.
“We try to bring in hybrids of different cuisines and make unique dishes that are really not found anywhere else,” says Aly Hamam, Tahini’s CMO.
“For example, we have the Shawarma poutine. That is like a hybrid between a very famous Canadian dish and then we put Shawarma on top of it and cheese and gravy and we turn it into something that is both Canadian and Middle Eastern at the same time.”

From chicken shawarma and Gyro wraps to chicken and rice bowls and Tahini’s Chicken and Gyro platters, the restaurant says it works hard to prepare meals that will ensure every one of your visits won’t be forgotten.
Hamam says combinations like butter chicken with rice mixed with shawarma will keep you coming back.
“It just makes this delicious fusion of flavours coming together and making these delicious dishes,” he says. “I think this really separates us from other Mediterranean cuisines and gives us the advantage, and gives people what they want at the end of the day.”
Tahini’s has four locations in London. Other locations include Whitby, Barrie, Etobicoke, Hamilton, Scarborough, Pickering, Bradford, Oshawa and now Oakville.
The Oakville location is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
