Fugitive on Canada-wide warrant could be in Brampton

Police are on the hunt for a convicted sex offender that could be hiding out in Brampton or Caledon.

The Ontario Provincial Police say 33-year-old Nicholas Woodland is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his Statutory Release.

Woodland was serving a more than two-year sentence for Sexual Assault, Possession of Child Pornography and Bestiality when he went on the run, and police say Woodland is known to frequent Brampton and Caledon, as well as the Toronto and Woodstock areas.

Woodland is described as a 33-year-old Caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 5’11” tall and weighs 131 lbs.

Police are asking the public for help locating Woodland and anyone who has had contact with him or who may have information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial R.O.P.E.
