A fugitive known to frequent Burlington and Niagara Falls has been arrested after two weeks on the lam.

The man Joshua Morningstar, 32, was convicted of several brake-and-enters and was sentenced to a two-year and one-month sentence. In Canada, offenders spend the last stretch of their sentence reintegrating into the community. However, Morningstar allegedly breached his release conditions and took off.

The OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad put out a Canada-wide warrant for Morningstar’s arrest on April 5. He was described as a six-foot-two white man weighing 155 pounds with green eyes and brown hair.

Two weeks later, on April 19 the OPP confirmed Morningstar had been arrested in Niagara Falls.
