Fugitive killer of Oshawa senior could be on the run in Mississauga or Brampton

Sharon Baksh, 45, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

The search is on for a fugitive serving time for the stabbing death of an Oshawa senior who could be on the loose in Mississauga or Brampton.

The OPP said on Thursday (Sept. 7) that Sharon Baksh is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after breaching her statutory release.

The 45-year-old is serving a seven-year and eight-month sentence for manslaughter after she pleaded guilty to the 2013 killing of Oshawa senior Alletta Rusnell, according to court documents.

Baksh stabbed the 89-year-old victim more than 140 times after breaking into the Rusnell’s apartment, the court heard.

She is known to frequent the Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto areas and police are asking residents to contact investigators if they have any information on Baksh’s whereabouts.

Baksh is described as a West Asian female, standing 5’4″ (163cm) and weighing 196 lbs (89 kgs) with black hair and brown eyes. She has several tattoos, including “13 ½” and “B” with a heart on her right hand,  “Noah” and “Love” on her left hand, “RM” with a heart on her left arm, a star behind her left ear, and a sun on her right ankle.

Baksh also has a tongue piercing as well as one through her bottom lip.
