Medeiros wanted

A fugitive is at large who is known to frequent Hamilton and Niagara Region.

Moises Medeiros, 28, was convicted of possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition. He has been sentenced to a two-year jail term for his crime and is serving the tail end of it in the community as part of his statutory release.

However, the OPP says Medeiros has broken the terms of his statutory release. They’ve started a manhunt for him through their Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad.

Police describe Medeiros as five-foot-seven and 180 pounds. He often wears a dark, thin beard. He also has several tattoos including;

  • hands holding jail bars on the back of his neck
  • “Snitches get stitches” on the left of his neck
  • a star on the right side of his neck
  • a teardrop with three dots on his right cheek
  • an upside-down cross on his left cheek
  • a rose on his left hand
  • “Hate” and “Love” across his fingers
  • five dots on his right hand
  • “Brotherhood” and the Grim Reaper on his left forearm, and
  • a cross on his right forearm

Medeiros is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, St. Catharines and the larger Niagara Region.
