Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Mississauga.

Temperatures will be dropping to below freezing tonight, which will continue into Tuesday morning .

Additionally, cooler-than-usual temperatures are expected to persist for much of the week, which could result in several days of frost and, at times, hard freezes across much of the region.

Frost and freezing temperatures pose a hazard to frost-sensitive crops, and could kill or damage plants and herbs.

Those with frost-sensitive crops are advised to take necessary precautions.
