While spring has finally sprung in Southern Ontario after a dreary April, communities in northern Durham Region aren’t in out of the cold just yet.
Environment Canada released a frost advisory for May 16. They found temperatures will drop to the near-freezing mark tonight and into Wednesday morning. There is a possibility the frost will return the night of May 17 as well.
Meteorologists advise this frost may damage crops and recommend farmers and green-thumbs cover up their plants to protect them from the cold.

Environment Canada warns the greyed out areas of this map may see frost tonight and tomorrow night.
