French dessert pop-up set to hit Square One in Mississauga

A French dessert pop-up is set to hit the Food District at Square One in Mississauga next week.
Pretty Little Layers specializes in French entremets, which are desserts made up of different layers and textures.
According to their website, these desserts typically contain a mousse, creamy and crunchy layers and a cake base.
The business was started by Rochelle DeSouza, a business grad turned pastry chef.
While DeSouza has experience in various forms of baking, she says she has discovered her niche and love for French pastry.

“I owe it to Le Cordon Bleu for instilling in me the foundation of French pastry,” reads DeSouza’s website.
Pretty Little Layers offers entremets in a variety of flavours including black forest, Ferrero Rochelle, Baileys, mango cheesecake, tropical paradise, Nutella, salted caramel, pistachio raspberry and more.
And, aside from their unique flavours, the desserts also come in an array of beautiful colours and shapes such as flowers, donuts and hearts.
The pop-up will be at the Food District from Dec. 11 to 18, 2022.
According to DeSouza’s Instagram page, her first pop-up at Square One will feature mini entremets and other French treats.
