Free movies in the park are back in Whitby

Catch a movie under the stars for four evenings in Whitby this summer.

The Movies in the Park are back for four evenings on July 15 and 29; and Aug. 12 and 26.

The Town of Whitby presents the movies on a large, outdoor screen with concert quality sound at Whitby Civic Park, 30 Bassett Blvd. (behind Town Hall) starting at dusk.

Movie-goers can bring blankets or lawn chairs and grab a seat for the show.

Here is the movie 2022 line-up:

• July 15 – Sing 2, Buster Moon and his friends must persuade reclusive rock star Clay Calloway to join them for the opening of a new show.
• July 29 – Encanto, A Disney film that tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.
• Aug. 12 – The Goonies,  A group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure.
• Aug. 26 – Spiderman – No Way Home – When a spell goes wrong, dangerous foes from other worlds start to appear, forcing Peter to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man. Peter Parker’s secret identity is revealed to the entire world.
