Brampton will be celebrating Latino Heritage Month with the return of a popular festival in September.

The second annual Brampton Latin Fest will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Ken Whillans Square in downtown Brampton.

Residents are invited to enjoy the vibrant rhythms of live Latin music, electrifying dance performances including salsa dances, and shop from a variety of vendors offering Latin food, art, fashion and other products.

“Whether you’re a seasoned salsa dancer or just looking to enjoy a lively atmosphere, there’s something for everyone at the Brampton Latin Fest,” says the festival organizers.

The free festival is organized in partnership with the Brampton Latinos Association as a way to help residents “learn more about the rich culture and heritage of Latin Canadians.”

A community flag raising will take place at the Square from 2 to 3 p.m., with the rest of the festival to run until 10 p.m.

Latin Heritage Month is celebrated every October in Canada.

Residents can get more info or apply to be a vendor by visiting the festival’s website.
