Free double-feature movie nights are back in Brampton this summer

You can see two back-to-back flicks for free every week this summer on the big screen in Brampton’s Garden Square with the return of Saturday Movie Nights.

The annual movie nights are back this year and started earlier this month with screening of sequels – Sing 2 and Wicked: For Good.

This week’s features are The Mitchells vs. The Machines at 6 p.m., followed by Mean Girls at 8 p.m. The movies will run on Sunday this week to accommodate World Cup match screenings in Garden Square.

The events kick off at 5:30 p.m. on movie nights with pre-show fun like face painting, character meet-and-greets, and interactive experiences.

Bring your chair to Garden Square for a double-header of outdoor movie magic with Saturday Movie Nights on the big screen,” Experience Brampton says of the events. “Check out local vendors or check in with volunteers at the Garden Square tent for colouring books, games to borrow, and giveaways.”

Brampton is also bringing more Movies Under the Stars nights to the city this year, and expanding the number of locations where the films will be screened.

From high-flying super heroics to family friendly fun, you can watch over a dozen big screen blockbusters for free at Movies Under the Stars events in Brampton. All movie night events are weather-dependent and may be cancelled in the event of severe weather.

The first Movies Under the Stars 2026 screening will be of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon on Thursday in Mount Pleasant Square at 6 p.m.
