Mississauga residents who want to pick up a free COVID-19 rapid test kit can do so at any of three LCBO stores in the city while supplies last.

The Ontario government says the tests are only for people who are asymptomatic and have not recently been in contact with someone with COVID-19. The tests are an additional screening tool and are not for diagnostic purposes.

Here are the LCBOs in Mississauga with test kits available:

  • Mavis and Britannia Rd. (Heartland Town Centre)
  • Winston Churchill Blvd. and Aquitaine Ave./Battleford Rd.
  • Derry Rd. and Goreway Dr.

Many LCBO stores across the GTA and Golden Horseshoe are quickly running out of the test kits, so it’s recommended people check the LCBO Twitter feed for the latest availability.

The province-wide availability of the rapid antigen test kits comes as part of the Ontario government’s latest response to surging cases of the virus due to the onset of the Omicron variant.

Ontario has also made available two million rapid test kits to be provided free of charge through mid-January at pop-up testing sites in high-traffic settings such as malls, other retail areas, holiday markets, public libraries and transit hubs.
