Video: Four ‘yes’ votes not enough to advance for Ajax contortionist Flexy-T on Canada’s Got Talent

She contorted her way to four ‘yes’ votes from the judges and had Howie Mandel calling her “inspirational” but it wasn’t enough for a Golden Buzzer for Toria Summerville of Ajax – better known as Flexy-T – at Wednesday’s episode of Canada’s Got Talent.
The episode was the final show before the 18 semi-finalists were selected, with last night’s Golden Buzzer going to dance crew The Cast (Levis, QC), who wowed the audience with their unique hip-hop routine.
Flexy-T, who has turned a rare genetic connective tissue disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome into a career as a contortionist, earned her share of oohs and aahs from the judges for her act and praise from Mandel.
“You are inspirational, aspirational, and an example of what we love to celebrate here on Canada’s Got Talent.”
Also on the show Wednesday was Whitby magician Richard Forget and while his routine didn’t exactly go as planned he had praise of his own for the producers and the team at Canada’s Got Talent for they way they handled the performance.
Forget can be seen performing his magic act at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa Saturday and he promises at least one of his routines from CGT will be performed at the show.

Ontario acts that have qualified for the semi-finals of Canada’s Got Talent (beginning May 2) include singer/musicians Katherine Lynn Roos (Burlington), Meave (Niagara Falls) and Maya Gamzu (Toronto), who earned a Golden Buzzer from judge Kardinal Offishall.
