Four teens charged in Whitby after pedestrians shot at with BB gun

Four young men are facing dangerous weapon charges after police say they were shooting at pedestrians from a moving vehicle with a BB gun.

Central West Division officers responded to Thickson Road and Crawforth Street in Whitby early Wednesday evening for reports of an armed person. Witnesses said a group of men were “shooting at pedestrians from a moving vehicle.”

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and took the four men – aged 17 and 18 – into custody.
Investigators are appealing for anyone that witnessed or is a victim of this event to come forward, especially if there is cellphone video or dashcam video.

The four teens have all been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
