Filip Jovic of Serbia fights for possession with Brampton's Osezojie Okojie

An 86-67 loss to Serbia at the FIBA U17 World Cup put the Canadian squad in the unenviable position of playing the host Spanish team – the second ranked nation in the world – if they hope to advance at the tournament.

Stephen Osei, Jacob Theodosiou, Jaion Pitt and Jovan Milcivec each scored ten points to pace the Canadian attack. Osei and Pitt both added seven rebounds and Brampton’s Osezojoi Baraka Okojie chipped in with five points and five assists.

Filip Jovic led Serbia with 20 points and nine boards.

Canada-Spain tips off at 3 p.m. ET from Malaga.
