Mississauga woman robbed in driveway, two from Brampton charged

Two Brampton teens and two men are facing multiple charges after a Mississauga woman was robbed in her own driveway on Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 10).
Peel Regional Police say the victim, a 53-year-old woman, was approached by four males in the driveway of her Mavis and Derry Rds. area home at about 2 p.m. The culprits grabbed her purse and then fled in a car that had been stolen five days earlier in a Brampton carjacking.
The woman was not hurt.
Shortly after the incident, police arrested four suspects in the stolen vehicle. Property from the Aug. 5 Brampton carjacking in addition to a knife and pellet gun were recovered during the arrests, police say.
Central Robbery Bureau investigators with Peel police said in the Aug. 5 incident, a 44-year-old Brampton woman was threatened with a knife during a carjacking near Davenhill Rd. A lone culprit grabbed her keys and then forcibly removed her from the car before fleeing, police say.
The woman in that incident was not hurt.
A 15-year-old Brampton youth is charged with two counts each of robbery and disguise with intent, in addition to possession of property obtained by crime and utter threats.
A 16-year-old Brampton youth is charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime.
Neither can be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Derrell Caprietta, 22, of Whitby, and Masih Mohamed, 22, of Markham, are each charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime.
All are being held pending bail hearings scheduled for today in Brampton court.
