Four Brampton schools under hold and secure due to gun sighting

Four schools are under hold and secure due to a potential weapon sighting in Brampton this morning (Sept. 26).

Police received reports for a man with a gun in the area of Brisdale Dr and Jessop Dr.

It’s unknown at this time if the gun is real or an imitation, and no injuries have been reported.

Multiple schools in the area were placed under hold and secure as a precaution: Brisdale Elementary School, St. Aidan Elementary School, St. Edmund Campion Secondary School, and Fletchers Meadow Secondary School.

Officers remain in the area investigating.

UPDATE: The gun has been deemed not real, police confirmed at 11:47 a.m. All hold and secures have been lifted.
