Four 35-storey towers, 1,492 units planned for major transit route in Ontario city

Pickering residents will get another look on January 19 at a high-rise project that hopes to bring nearly 1,500 residents to four towers proposed for the southwest corner of Kingston Road and Dixie Road.

Designed by BDP Quadrangle, the Biglieri Group project at 1095 Kingston Road will require a zoning amendment for 1,492 units in a high-rise development with two buildings and four residential towers, each 35 storeys high.

The development is located on the future Durham-Scarborough rapid transit line and is just down the street from another high-side development at 705 Kingston Road that will have five towers and 1,748 new residents.

There are nearly half a dozen projects along the corridor either already under construction or being planned, with several boasting residential towers over 50 storeys in height.

The virtual public meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on January 19 and will be livestreamed on the city’s website at events.pickering.ca/council.
