Found shell casings mark second shooting in Hamilton in two days

Officers discovered shell casings in a parking lot on Jackson St. E. in Hamilton early this morning (Sept. 18) marking the second instance of shots fired in the city in two days.

Hamilton Police responded to the area of Jackson St. E. and Hunter St. E. shortly before 5 a.m. this morning (Sept. 18) after receiving reports of gun shots heard.

After an initial investigation, officers found shell casings from a gun in a parking lot located at 84 Jackson St. E.

There are no known victims or suspects at this time.

This is the second instance of shots fired in the City of Hamilton in two days. Police recently reported a shooting that took place at a restaurant yesterday (Sept. 17).

A 24-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital by paramedics.
