Dave Keon, Darryl Sittler, Wendel Clark, Paul Henderson and Doug Gilmour are just a few of the hockey stars who will appear at the Sport Card Expo next month in Mississauga.
The Toronto Maple Leafs legends will be joined by former Toronto Raptor Damon Stoudamire, wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Toronto Blue Jays baseball player Kelly Gruber and several other athletes and personalities. They’ll be signing autographs, for a fee, at the show, which runs April 24-27 at the International Centre (6900 Airport Rd.).
Considered by many to be the greatest Leaf of all time, Keon is making a rare appearance as an autograph guest as the reclusive star likes to stay close to his current warm climate home in Florida.
That’s just the opposite of Team Canada star Henderson, who has been a longtime resident of Mississauga. He is best remembered for his standout performance during the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union,
The Sport Card Expo is the largest show of its kind in Canada and has been operating for four decades, mostly at the International Centre, where the show will cover 200,000 sq-ft space for more than 500 vendors selling sports collectibles and memorabilia. Several producers of memorabilia will also be on hand showing their latest products.
