Darcy Tucker will be there and in person at Hooligan's Sport Bar (3515 Portage Rd) on Feb. 10.

One of the former and most popular Toronto Maple Leafs veterans will be popping into one of Niagara Falls’ best sports bars this Friday to catch his former squad take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

In the first Leafs game since the NHL All-Star break, hard-nosed, junkyard dog Darcy Tucker will be there and in person at Hooligan’s Sport Bar (3515 Portage Rd) on Feb. 10 so if you have his old #16 jersey hanging in the closet, be sure to bring it into the game action.

Billed by the bar as a kick-off to Superbowl Weekend, Tucker’s appearance is part of the Molson Canadian “Leafs Game Day Live!” promotion where former hockey stars pop into local sports bars to meet and greet with the fans.

Tucker played most of his career with the Maple Leafs from 2000 to 2008 and his feisty, in-your-face style quickly made him a fan favourite in Toronto.

Puck drop is 7 pm but if fans want to get in, get there much earlier. A Leafs game alone is usually enough to fill Hooligan’s but a Buds game with Tucker there? It’s going to be crazy. Hooligan’s made it clear that there were no reservations – first come, first served.
