Former doctor charged with sexual assault in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a former family physician for multiple sexual offences in Burlington.

Police say on Saturday, March 13, 2021, Scott Musson, a 60-year-old from Burlington was arrested and charged with sexual assault (2 counts) and sexual interference (2 counts).

According to police, the victim was a youth at the time of the assaults which occurred between 1997 and 1998.

During that time, Musson was a practicing doctor with an office located at 500 Elizabeth Street in Burlington.

Police say Musson was also involved with youth programs at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 2366 Headon Road in Burlington.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
