We're not sure which of the three Legends of Niagara golf course has this hole but bring plenty of water balls.

Four public golf courses owned by Niagara Parks are now officially open and ready for another season of swinging, putting and swearing.

In addition to the opening of Whirlpool Golf Course, the Legends on the Niagara Complex will see the much-anticipated opening of all site amenities, including its three on-site courses, the Legends on the Niagara Restaurant and Pub, Golf Shop and TaylorMade Niagara Performance Centre.

The Legends on the Niagara (9561 Niagara River Pkwy) is a 45-hole, public golf facility, complete with two championship 18-hole courses, a challenging 9-hole short course and a 360-degree driving range.

The three Legends courses – Battlefield Course, Chippawa Course and Ussher’s Creek Course – are, as of today (April 21) all open for tee-off times from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Legends on the Niagara Restaurant and Pub is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. while the Pro Shop is open 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. The TaylorMade Niagara Performance Centre is open by appointment only.

The Whirlpool Golf Course (3351 Niagara River Pkwy), one of Canada’s most highly rated and renowned public golf courses, was the final course completed by the legendary course architect Stanley Thompson.

This classic parkland course at the precipice of the Niagara River Gorge offers wonderful hole variety and birdie opportunities, a hallmark of Thompson’s very best work.

The Whirlpool Golf Course is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m while the course’s Pro Shop opens at 7 a.m.

If you’re playing at the Legends complex, for the 19th hole, golfers can swing over to the Legends on the Niagara Restaurant and Pub, which offers a wide variety of locally sourced food and beverage options, including traditional favourites like the Legends Clubhouse turkey sandwich, Prime Burger and Reuben, along with several new features, including a Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and Buffalo Mac Attack.

New for the 2023 season, Chef Rick Bieber will be leading the culinary team at Legends on the Niagara Restaurant and Pub. Bieber first joined Niagara Parks in 2010 and has since gone on to apply his talents at Queen Victoria Place, Table Rock House Restaurant and as a key member of Niagara Parks’ banquets and events culinary team.
