Where: Sindhi, a new Indian street food resto located at Confederation and Eglinton.
Where: Spin Dessert Cafe and Bistro, located on the ground floor of the Limelight condos on Prince of Wales Drive in City Centre.
Where?Tucked away in a hidden strip mall in Mississauga on Eglinton between Tomken and Dixie is Shandra's Roti Shop -- one of the best roti restos. Shandra's has been around for 20 years and that speaks volumes. With a variety of roti's, rice dishes and Caribbean appetizers, you can’t leave without being satisfied.
Where?Located on the corner of Bristol and HWY 10 is Bombay Chopsticks. It serves Chinese food with spices usually found in Indian food (Hakka) and they fuse it together with traditional Chinese cooking to create some of the best Chinese dishes I've had in a while! The decor is quaint, comfortable, and cozy. I went there for lunch today to find out the lunch deals are one of the best I've seen in the city!
Where?Located on an industrial strip on Eglinton between Tomken and Dixie is a burger joint called On the Bun Burgers. They opened up about a year ago and in speaking to the owner things are going very well. According to their Facebook page, it states "We do not cut corners, FRESH Burgers FRESH Fries. And only the BEST quality ingredients used" and that is the reason why I'm here for lunch today. Capital FRESH eh? Let's see.
Where: Port 229 Artisan Bistro is a cozy Port Credit restaurant offering a seasonal from-scratch menu made up of local ingredients. A patio was recently added in front of the restaurant to cater to the sun worshippers -- and just in time for the summer.
Where: The Clarkson Mediterranean Bistro is a gem of a find in a small and quaint neighbourhood located west of Port Credit in a community called Clarkson Village.
Where: The Wilcox Gastropub is located on the corner of Hurontario and Eglinton and is situated in the Wilcox House - one of Mississauga's oldest  Heritage Homes. It features Greek and Gothic detailing and was built by Amos and Charles Wilcox in 1850.
Where? Located on the corner of Eglinton and Tomken is a place that you've passed by hundreds of times called Peter's on Eglinton. When you first walk in you can't help but think that this is how all restaurants looked like in the 70's in a high end hotel. A quick scan of this place, and it's obvious that it's geared towards an older audience, and low and behold, Hazel McCallion was having her dinner in the booth next to me.
Where: Desi Bar and Grill is a modern-casual Indian restaurant known for its curries, dosas and a few Indian fusion dishes.
