A launch event for the City’s Food Guide is set to take place soon in Brampton.

The event, which will unveil the latest Brampton Food Guide, invites residents to explore the “culinary wonders” within the city.

The 2023 Brampton Food Guide will feature local restaurants and markets, local chef favourites and recommendations from food influencers.

Additionally, it will include a segment called “Eat Where the Locals Eat” which profiles the top ten food spots in Brampton that were chosen by its residents.

This was done by asking hundreds of Brampton residents to share their favourite places to get food in the city.

New additions to the top 10 list include Fanzorelli’s Restaurant and Wine Bar, Hakkalicious, John’s Family Restaurant, Wok of Fame, Gems House of Jerk, Brar’s, Sweet Palace, That Italian Place, Mt. Vesuvio’s Ristorante and Le Kochi.

“Brampton is one of Canada’s most diverse cities and its culinary offerings provide a unique experience rich in authentic tastes with flavours from around the globe,” reads the City of Brampton’s website.

The launch event for the release of the latest Brampton Food Guide will take place on Saturday, Mar. 25 at Ken Whillans Square, Wellington St. West, and the City Hall Atrium from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event will enable residents to visit local restaurants featured in the Brampton Food Guide and on-site food trucks as well as celebrate alongside a DJ.

Children’s activities will also be available, in addition to Beyond the Plate Art Walk and Night Lights – an exhibit outside of City Hall where “art comes to life” on the walls.

Animations will also feature artwork from ten local artists that will be projected on the City Hall wall facing Wellington St. W. from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
