Food truck frenzy hits Ontario city this weekend

With 29 food trucks offering mouth-watering dishes from tacos to kebabs and roti to vegan and gluten-free, there will be something for everyone at the Pickering Food Truck Festival this weekend at Esplanade Park.

Best of all, admission is free.

The festival will be transforming the downtown park to a foodie haven, including children’s games, a beer garden and a live entertainment stage.

The festival opens at 5 p.m. Friday and runs to 9 p.m. Weekend hours are noon to 9 p.m.

Vendors include:

• 6 Spice Rack, Alfie’s Lemonade, BeaverTails, Buster’s Sea Cove, Cheeseheadz, Chill Delights Ice Cream, ChocoBerry, Churros By Rebozos and Dave’s Drupatis Roti and Doubles;
• Greek Goat, Heavenly Dreams Ice Dream, HK Food Station, Jerk Brothers, La Fiesta, La Paisa, Los Vietnamita, Masa Mexico City Tacos and Mustache Burger;
• Real Empanada, Rebozos Taqueria, Smoke’s Poutinerie, Steak Barrels, Super Churros, The Kabab Shoppe, Toastee Rollz, Tornado Fries, Tropic Love, Tut’s Egyptian Street Food and We Cater Food on Wheels
